| 8V regulator schematic |
This simple converter project uses
7808 IC to convert 12V dc from a battery to
8V DC. This converter also can be made even only one component, the 7808 regulator. Converter can produce a maximum current of 1.5A (with heatsink) at 8V from an input of 11V to 25V. C= 220uF electrolytic capacitor rated 25V, and you can replace the output capacitor with higher value (the higher the better). LM7808 pins is shown below.

Note: You can remove the capacitors if you are using a well regulated DC supply or a battery.
